本日よりマライアが来日します！！今回の来日は3月30日に発売になるニュー・アルバム「ＭＩＭＩ」のプロモーションのためで、多数のＴＶ番組への出演を予定しております。現時点で出演が決定しているＴＶ番組は

マライア、31日に六本木野外ライブ
　世界の歌姫マライア・キャリー（３５）が、今月３１日に東京・六本木ヒルズで、野外ライブを行うことが２７日、分かった。招待者は６００人で、デビュー以来初の野外ステージとなる。マライアはきょう２８日、特別チャーター機で成田空港に来日する。
　今回の来日は、２年半ぶりのアルバム「Ｔｈｅ　Ｅｍａｎｃｉｐａｔｉｏｎ　Ｏｆ　Ｍｉｍｉ」のプロモーションのため。野外ライブはマライアの希望で、関係者は「自由で開放的なイメージを前面に出したいという本人の意向に沿って決定した」と説明した。
　当日は、ステージ中央から、客席に向かってレッドカーペットが敷かれ、マライアの乗ったリムジンが登場する。バンド４人にコーラス３人、ダンサー１０人も来日する。警備員だけでも２００人以上を動員。所属のユニバーサル・ミュージックは「機材やステージセットなどを含め、１億５０００万円の制作費をかける」という。

マライア　六本木ヒルズでライブ
世界の歌姫、マライア・キャリー（３５）が、３１日に東京の新名所、六本木ヒルズアリーナで野外ライブを行うことになった。アルバム「Ｔｈｅ　Ｅｍａｎｃｉｐａｔｉｏｎ　Ｏｆ　Ｍｉｍｉ」の購入者を対象に６００人を招待する。マライアにとっては初の野外ステージ。２８日に成田空港着の特別チャーター機で来日する。
　２年半ぶりのアルバム（３０日発売）のプロモーションで１年７カ月ぶりに来日するマライアは、ファンを招いてのライブイベントを熱望し、急きょ野外ライブが決定した。しかも、会場は都心の注目スポットとして話題を呼んでいる六本木ヒルズだ。
　アルバムタイトルに使われているＭｉｍｉはマライアのニックネームで、全体で「ミミの解放」という意。野外ライブ決行について、ユニバーサルミュージックは「過去と決別し、これまで誰も知らなかった本来のマライアを表現し、自由で開放的なイメージを前面に出したいという本人の意向に沿って決定した」と話した。
　当日の招待者は６００人。ステージもマライアに手が届きそうな距離だけに、ファンにとってはたまらないプレミアライブになりそう。ステージ中央から客席に向かってレッドカーペットが敷かれ、そこにマライアを乗せたリムジンが滑り込む。ファンの声援に囲まれマライアが登場するという粋な演出。
　このライブのためにバンド４人、コーラス３人、ダンサー１０人が緊急来日することも決まった。警備員だけで２００人以上を動員、さらに機材やステージセットなどを含め「６００人招待のステージだけに１億５０００万円の製作費をかける」（関係者）と前代未聞のバブリーなステージ。
　野外ライブの詳細は２８日午前１０時に開設されるホームページに掲載される。０２年１１月にアルバムのプロモーションで来日した時は、新曲のプロモーションビデオを都内でゲリラ撮影して話題を呼んだが、今回の野外ライブも注目されそうだ。

Happy Birthday Mariah!!!

Mariah Carey marks 35th birthday, and new album, in London
Pop diva Mariah Carey celebrated her 35th birthday in style but insisted: "I don't have anniversaries."

The US singer -- one of the best-selling female vocalists of the 1990s -- arrived fashionably late for her party, which was also the official launch of her latest album, "The Emancipation of Mimi".

Wearing a flowing white dress and diamonds she said: "I don't have anniversaries and this is the launch of 'The Emancipation of Mimi'. It's a very happy day for me, I'm very excited."

She went on to joke: "It's the anniversary of my 12th birthday."

Of her new album, she said: "It's a good-time album, a good feeling record. It's the first time I've had a great experience making a record from top to bottom."

Guests packed the Tantra club in London's West End for a VIP reception as Carey arrived with her entourage.

The club had laid out a gold sparkly carpet for her to walk on and one of her minders insisted she had a fan and a bottle of water opened for her in the VIP area.

Earlier in the week, Carey proved her diva credentials by arriving over an hour late for an awards night. Staff at her hotel also laid out a red carpet lined with candles for her overnight check-in.

Carey's life-size Birthday Cake
Mariah Carey celebrated her 35th birthday last night, with a life-size $9,500 (GBP5,000) cake, modelled on herself.

The "Vision of Love" singer ordered the 1.82 metre (six foot) tall sponge creation, filled with praline butter cream, to be made for her exclusive bash at London nightclub Tantra.

The black, gold and cream treat took a team of 17 chefs from the capital's Harrods store to create.

Mariah wraps up "We Belong Together" video in London
On Monday, March 21st, Mariah spent the entire day inside her London hotel shooting new scenes for the "We Belong Together" video. She started off by shooting a scene in the downstairs club area of the hotel before moving to a suite upstairs to shoot bed and shower scenes. Several fans came and went as the day went on and the beginning section of "We Belong Together" was heard being repeatedly played from inside the hotel. When shooting moved to upstairs there were obvious bright filming lights from the windows and the song could be heard again. There was also a period where the song was heard played in double-time indicating that there will be some slow motion shots in the video.

At one point in the evening 20 pizzas and 6 portions of garlic bread were delivered for the filming crew. The hotel's fire alarms went off around 11:20pm due to smoke from the kitchen and three fire engines turned up at 11:40pm. Brett Ratner was apparently directing these new scenes to the video as he was seen leaving the hotel shortly before midnight.

Around midnight one of Mariah's bodyguards came out to tell fans that had been waiting outside all day that Mariah would not be able to come out to greet them and the press because she had been working all day and was understandably tired. He took CDs from the fans to get signed and made sure everyone's had their name safely tucked inside to ensure everyone will get their CDs back safely.

今ロンドンいるマライアは"We Belong Together"のプロモに足す新しいシーンの撮影を21日にしたみたいです☆撮影場所は泊まってるホテルの中で、まず最初にホテルの地下にあるクラブで撮影し、その後は上のスイートルームに移動してベットとシャワーシーンを撮ったみたい。ホテルの外で待っていたファンはWe Belong Togetherがホテルの中から何回も聞こえてきたと言っています。また夕方にはスタッフのためにピザ20枚とガーリックパン6人前が配達されたみたい。この追加シーンの監督は恐らくブレット・ラトナーで、深夜12時ちょっと前にホテルから出て行くのが目撃されてます。

Mariah proves she's a diva
Sexy singer Mariah Carey proved her diva credentials today when she made a grand entrance at a music awards ceremony.
The star, 34, swept into the Capital FM Awards at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in west London with an entourage of no less than 11 people. The extraordinary assortment of staff included two big bodyguards to watch over her table as she ate lunch.
Mariah was over an hour late for the ceremony despite having to travel just a couple of miles in a chauffeur-driven car to get there.
The stunner received a standing ovation from her entourage when she picked up a special prize for outstanding contribution to music. She was honoured for being the biggest-selling female artist of all time.
She said: “Thank-you for the love. Keep it going, darlings. I love you.”

Mariah Joins the Save The Music Concert Line-Up
Mariah Carey will join previously announced performers Alicia Keys, Rod Stewart, Joss Stone, Rob Thomas, and John Legend when Save The Music: A Concert To Benefit The VH1 Save The Music Foundation will air on VH1 Sunday, April 17 at 9pm. Continuing in the tradition of events to benefit VH1's Save The Music Foundation, the star-studded concert will tape at New York City's famed Beacon Theatre.

VH1's Save the Music concert raises funds for the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music programs in America's public schools, and to raising awareness of the positive impact that music participation has on students. America Magazine, the world's first urban luxury publication, unveils its Spring 2005 edition with dual covers featuring multi-platinum songstress Mariah Carey and controversial hip hop entertainer 50 Cent.

In Mariah Carey's revealing interview with Aliya S. King, the top-selling female artist of all time gives america readers a rare glimpse into her troubled past and triumphant journey. Carey speaks frankly about her stormy relationship with ex-husband Tommy Mottola, her limited sexual experience, her flirtation with Tupac Shakur, her challenges with racial identity and her childhood memories of the gay couple that gave her a stable home after her parents' divorce. Outlined below are select passages from america magazine's current cover feature on stands now: Mariah Carey: Imitation of Life:

ON TOMMY MOTTOLA AND THE DIVORCE
Tommy and Mariah married in 1993, in a ceremony modeled after the nuptials of Princess Diana and Prince Charles. "Yeah, everybody talks about that. But no one saw me on the honeymoon, running down the beach, miserable, crying and alone."

Tommy Mottola was her first sexual partner. But their union was not fulfilling in that way. "My relationship with my husband was not a physical relationship. It just wasn't.... That relationship shaped who I am. It beyond shaped me. I still have nightmares about it."

"Even though I owned that house, the only thing I felt like I owned was my pocketbook. He (Tommy) didn't even know why I always had my bag with me. But in my mind I thought, 'If something jumps off...I'm ready.' I lived like that for a long time. I used to wish, hope and dream that someone would kidnap me."

ON SEX
Today, seven years after the divorce, Mariah insists she can still count on one hand how many sexual partners she's had. In some ways, she's proud of it. "I've never been driven by the need to be with a lot of people. I was always focused on other things." And in other ways, she sees her lack of lovers as a liability. "I would like to be more experienced. I feel like in certain relationships, had I been more experienced, maybe things would have been different."

ON TUPAC
On her way back upstairs from the photo room, she passes through the kitchen. On the wall hangs a framed photo of Tupac Shakur immersed in a bubble bath. She fans herself dramatically as she points it out. "Everybody always told me that he liked my music and I was always complimented by that."

When asked if they ever met, Mariah lets out a rush of breath. "Mmm hmmm... It was at the Grammys. He was driving by in this white Rolls Royce -- this was when I was still with Tommy -- and he just stops and I see him, and he's like, 'Hey Mariah.'" She does her best Tupac-in-a-white-Rolls-Royce impersonation: one hand on the wheel, one arm hanging out the window. "I just said hi and then I had to go back in. He said, 'Bye Mariah,' and I ran back inside like this..." She runs up the stairs to the alcove, lifting an imaginary ball gown and looking wistfully over her shoulder. "Ahhhh," she groans, half-laughing. "It could have been perfect."

ON RACE
"There's never been a time when I didn't spell out exactly what I am. But for some, I was still just a white girl. To others, I was a black girl who was just passing... It's easy to take shots at me. No one feels like they need to protect me... If I was two shades darker, there'd have been people protesting for me."

ON HER UPBRINGING
Rachel Wifall, Mariah's classmate, remembers: "Fourth grade was that time when you're fighting with your parents about wearing what you want to wear. So even the girls, we're all wearing our Levis and corduroys and she comes in wearing this really frilly, feminine dress. She got teased for it." It could have been worse. They could have focused on the fact that Mariah and her mother had just moved in with Ernie and Mort, a gay couple who'd given Mariah the most stable home she'd had since her parents' divorce.

Mariah Parties in Paris
Mariah attended the fan party and danced to her club songs at Man Ray Club, Paris, France last night, March 16, 2005.
Mariahfanclub reports, "Mariah arrived at 1:00am and stood 5 minutes in front of the Man Ray Club for photographs. Then she came into the overcrowded club directly to the VIP section. They had to clear the place because it was starting to become a mess. After 45 minutes, Mariah came down in the pit in the middle of those 1,500 people, she was stunning!

She said, "Merci beaucoup" and started to introduce songs from "The Emancipation of Mimi" ("Say Something," "To The Floor," "Tonight," "Get Your Number," "It's Like That Remix") and the "Heartbreaker Remix." She sang some parts over the songs, waved at the crowd, climbed on the table for everybody to see her. It was really hot there but Mariah has always been perfect. There were 2 dancers with her on the table and Benny Medina even pulled the DJ for a minute to dance! She stood in the pit for like 45 minutes and at the end some guys dressed like in the "It's Like That" video with white masks brought a huge cake that Mariah had to cut.
Mariah left for her hotel at 3:50am."

Mariah in London schedule
Saturday 19th
Mariah will land around 11:00pm and head to her hotel from there. She's staying at the Baglioni Hotel at 60 Hyde Park Gate. She's not stayed at this hotel before. Fans wanting to greet her should note that the nearest tube station is Kensington High Street.

Sunday 20th
Mariah will probably rest after travelling.

Monday 21st & Tuesday 22nd
Mariah will be interviewed for various magazines inside her hotel.

Wednesday 23rd
Mariah will walk down the red carpet at Capital FM's event for Help A London Child. This event starts around noon.

Mariah will then head to the Channel 4 studios where she will record an interview on the Richard and Judy show. This interview will not be aired immediately. It will be saved for a couple of weeks. Mariah will then check in with some London radio stations for some interviews.

Thursday 24th
In the afternoon Mariah will visit some more radio stations. She will then be appearing on TRL at 6:00pm. Tickets to the show are provided free from The Applause Store. click here to visit their site. You need to register with them and then select what show / day you would like tickets for. You should receive an email and then a call back the next day.

Friday 25th
Mariah will pre-record a performance on Top Of The Pops at the BBC studios. It's very hard to get tickets at such short notice. Well done to anyone who manages it!

Saturday 26th
Mariah will be at CD:UK. Tickets for this are also available at The Applause Store. Make sure you hurry to get those. Mariah will also be on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway but tickets for that have already all gone.

マライアの来日がちょうどマライアの誕生日の次の日だし、前回のツアーの時に作ったファンブック（Fanbracelet）も好評（マライアとても喜んでいました＾＾写真でその本を持っています♪）だったので、今回マライアの誕生日を祝ったファンブックを作ろうと思います☆ちなみにファンブックとはファンからの手紙を一冊に集めたものです。マライアはよく車の移動の時など読んでいるらしいです☆

手紙の大きさはA4サイズで左側を少しあけて書いてください（閉じるときに見えなくならないためです）。写真や絵も書いていいです☆シールなども貼っていいですが、かさばらないためにデコボコとしたものは遠慮してください。

また英語がちょっと苦手という方は私ができるだけ訳すので気軽にメールください＾＾
手紙はEメールでも郵便でもいいです☆
郵便の締め切りは25日で、Eメールの場合は26日です。

　3月30日、日本で先行発売になるマライア・キャリーのニュー・アルバム『MIMI』。このリリースに合わせてマライアのプロモーション来日が決定しました。今回のスケジュールとしては、3月28日に来日、TBS系『うたばん』、テレビ朝日系『ミュージックステーション』への出演等を予定しています。
さらにビッグなニュースとして、3月31日に都内某所で大がかりなファンイベントを行う計画が進行中。参加方法については近日中にこのサイト(http://mariahcarey.jp)にてお知らせします。

マライア　ファンと交流会
米人気歌手マライア・キャリー（３４）が２年半ぶりのアルバム「Ｔｈｅ　Ｅｍａｎｉｃｉｐａｔｉｏｎ　Ｏｆ　Ｍｉｍｉ」（３０日発売）のプロモーションで、２８日に来日することになった。「最新アルバムのプロモーションは日本からスタートしたい」という本人の希望で、１年７カ月ぶりの来日。日本を手始めに英国やドイツなどヨーロッパを回る。

　今回は本人から「ファンとの交流を図りたい」というリクエストが寄せられ、１０００人クラスのライブハウスでファンイベントの開催も予定。総製作費が１億円以上のプレミアイベントとなりそうだ。アルバムと同時に新曲「Ｉｔ’ｓ　Ｌｉｋｅ　Ｔｈａｔ」も発売され、プロモーションビデオが世界に先駆け１０日に解禁される。

Mariah will be coming to Japan to promote her new album "The Emancipation of Mimi" on the 28th. Mariah said "I would like to start the promotion of the new album from Japan" so she will come to Japan, and then go to countries like UK, Germany, and Europe.
Also Mariah requested that she wants to be with her fans so a fan event is being planned. This mini live event will be limited to 1000 people and it seems that the production will cost more than a hundred million yen. This was a sudden decision so the date and place is not decided yet.
The promotion video of "It's Like That" will be premiered on the 10th in Japan.

The curvy star will also model her creations for the top designer's catwalk show next year.

According to Roger Friedman - FoxNews the whole CD is excellent, especially a track produced by the Neptunes and featuring Snoop Dogg. Called "Say Anything," He predicts this single will help re-launch Carey and catapult her back onto the charts. If It's like that' is any indication of things to expect, 2005 could mark the return of Mariah Carey.

Mariah teams up for Luther Vandross tribute album
Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Mary J Blige, Celine Dion and Angie Stone are among a host of stars who are taking part in a Luther Vandross tribute album. Although a jazz tribute album honouring Vandross was released last year, the new project, which was dreamed up by music mogul Clive Davis, will be more of a direct translation of the soul veteran's work.

Producer Jimmy "Jam" Harris says, "Mariah and Janet both called and said they were interested in doing something for it. This is really the best of the best singers coming together. It's going to be an incredible project. It's basically artists doing Luther Vandross songs, but they're doing them their way. Some of the arrangements are very similar to Luther's arrangements."

Vandross suffered a debilitating stroke almost two years ago.

Mariah on Oprah: Wai'anae boy gets his dream

Talk about birthday surprises.
On Paul Robins' 12th birthday last month, one of Oprah Winfrey's producers knocked on his door in Wai'anae.
"I'm here to make your wildest dream come true," she told him, as a camera crew and Tahitian dancers trailed behind her, promising Paul an appearance on "Oprah."
For a sixth-grade karaoke fan and would-be professional singer who dreamed of performing on Oprah's stage, life couldn't get much better — or so he thought.
After producers heard a tape the Robins family sent the show a few months ago of Paul belting out some tunes, in response to Oprah's promise to fulfill the "wildest dreams" of some lucky fans, Paul was chosen. In preparation for his Oprah appearance, the show sent the 12-year-old and his parents, Roy and Laurie, to Los Angeles for a taping with a voice coach at Jim Henson Studio.

That's when Paul got another exquisite surprise: Mariah Carey, one of his singing idols, walked in to coach him herself.
Paul has already earned other recognition in his pursuit of a singing career. He won a Tiny Tadani karaoke contest in 2002 and a competition last year at Don Ho's Island Grill. The sixth-grader has also performed for the governor and mayor. But this was a definite highlight.
"I want to be a singer and a gourmet chef," said Paul, who left Leihoku Elementary last month to be home-schooled at the time of his national debut. "That's, like, my main goals in life."
Meeting Carey was "very fun for me," he said. "All the surprises were cool."
Paul also met "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson, and singer Josh Groban gave him a backstage pep talk before his appearance on Oprah. Tune in today to hear him sing karaoke-style to a Carey song for a national audience.
"I was just in awe," Paul said. "I was so happy."

Universal Music Australia gave the info out today. The album will be released on April the 3rd. It will also be released in 2 formats (same as previously reported in Europe), a standard and a deluxe format. The Deluxe will have a special packaging but apparently the same audio.

オーストラリアのユニバーサルがオーストラリアのアルバム発売日は4月3日と発表しました☆また2種類のアルバムを発売するみたいです。一つは通常盤でもう一つはデラックス盤。デラックス盤には恐らく同じ曲が入っているけどパッケージが特別になっているだけらしいです。
